Carlos Villarroel, Assistant Coach

TEAM: 2012-2015 Girls

Carlos Villarroel brings over two decades of experience in the soccer community and 11 years of coaching at both recreational and competitive club levels. Now in his second year as the NHS Girls Varsity Head Coach, Carlos is a dedicated student of the game, always seeking innovative strategies, tactics, and processes to give his teams an edge, both on and off the field.

Beyond NHS, Carlos contributes his experience as an Assistant Coach for the U12- U15 girls' competitive teams at CVSC.

A proud girl dad to three daughters with his wife Tabitha, Carlos and his family are deeply passionate about Newberg sports and invested in the Newberg community. His eldest daughter, a Newberg High School alumna, cheered for three years before graduating in 2023.

In addition to his coaching roles, Carlos is the Associate Director for Operations and Compliance in the Financial Aid Office at Portland Community College. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Portland State University.
