Jarett Creason, Head Coach
TEAMS: 2011 and 2012 Boys
Soccer is the most free-flowing and dynamic sport in the world, and I feel privileged every time I get to step on the pitch as a coach. Over the past eight or so years, I’ve coached both boys’ and girls’ teams across a variety of age groups. I started coaching when my son’s kindergarten team needed someone to step up—and I’ve been hooked ever since.
I’m currently part of the coaching staff at CVSC, where I’ve deepened my commitment to developing youth players and continually refining my approach to the game. I earned my US Soccer D License in Spring 2023 and completed the C Course in August 2024. I remain committed to ongoing education and growth as a coach.
I believe youth sports should be both fun and competitive, these elements are key to building passion. My focus is always on player and team development, helping each athlete play with heart, intensity, and joy. I emphasize smart, intentional soccer -- maintaining possession over simply kicking the ball away, and work with players to build confidence in their decisions and creativity on the field.
I love watching young players grow and helping them uncover new strengths. Seeing them push past self-perceived limits is the most rewarding part of coaching. I work closely with each player to recognize their unique qualities and challenge them to grow in areas with untapped potential.
Whether we win or lose, every match and training session is an opportunity to learn. I encourage players to reflect together as a team, knowing they learn not only from coaches but also from each other. Adversity, in particular, provides some of the richest lessons in the game, and life.
Communication is central to my coaching philosophy. I make it a priority to keep families informed and involved, sharing our goals, progress, and development journey. I’m proud to coach youth in our community and to help foster a lifelong love of the game.
